Oled Tv- An Insight Of Oled Technology

OLED

OLED stands for organic light emitting diode and is a type of light emitting diode which emits light when the current is passed. The organic light emitting diode (OLED) is used in the creation of devices like OLED TV screens, Monitors, Mobile phones and other digital display items. The back light is not present in organic light emitting diode as it is already emitting visible light. The organic light emitting diode (OLED) is more thinner and light weight then liquid crystal display. In low light conditions organic light emitting diode (OLED) is considered far better and more preferable then liquid crystal display. There are many advantages of organic light emitting diode (OLED).

Advantages

There are many advantages of organic light emitting diode (OLED) as it is considered better than liquid crystal display and flat panel displays.

The biggest advantage of organic light emitting diode (OLED) is the low cost in the future. The technology which is used to manufacture the organic light emitting diode (OLED) is quite cheaper than liquid crystal display (LCD) and plasma. Another advantage of organic liquid crystal display (LCD) is their light weight body and flexible to use. The organic light emitting diode (OLED) is more flat panel display and plasma display. The picture quality of organic light emitting diode (OLED) is far better than liquid crystal display (LCD)  and other type of displays. OLEDs display donot emit light and provide deep black display with strong contrast of colors which is quite nice to watch.

Disadvantages

Almost everything in the world which have advantages also have some disadvantages as well just like other things organic light emitting diode (OLED) has some disadvantages as well. Biggest advantage of organic light emitting diode (OLED) is their limited life span. According to an estimate the life time of organic light emitting diode (OLED) is half of the life time of a liquid crystal display (LCD). The organic light emitting diode (OLED) could get damage with the water. No water resistance is another disadvantage of organic light emitting diode (OLED). But the advantages of organic light emitting diode overlap the disadvantages.

Conclusion

Therefore it is quite recommended for the people to use the organic light emitting diode (OLED) rather than the liquid crystal displays (LCD) and plasma displays. Even though the organic light emitting diode (OLED) has some disadvantages, it has more advantages.
